Reporting

Our 2024/25 return has been filed on time.

Posted: summer 2025 · Filed with the Charity Commission for England and Wales.

The trustees confirm that the charity's annual return for the financial year ending 31 March 2025 has been submitted to the Charity Commission on time. Total income for the period was £106 and total expenditure was £0. Figures of this kind are typical for the Thomas Davies Charity; as an endowment-based trust, the charity accumulates funds across several years before making grants when a suitable applicant presents themselves.

Our reporting status is currently shown on the public register as up to date, and the trustees are committed to keeping it that way.

Website

A new website for the charity.

Posted: 2025.

For the first time, the Thomas Davies Charity has a website of its own. The site's purpose is simple: to make the charity easier to find for anyone who thinks a child they know may qualify, and to set out plainly how we work. There is no donations page, no shop, and no subscription form. The site exists to help people reach the trustees.

If you find anything on the site unclear or missing, please do write to the trustees at info@llanybydder.org.uk. We are always grateful for thoughtful feedback.

Trustees

A note on how we receive applications.

Posted: 2025.

Families and those supporting them sometimes worry that our application process will be formal, lengthy or intrusive. It is not. A short letter or email is all that is required. There is no form, no deadline, and no need for documents at first contact. If the circumstances call for a little more information, we will ask for it carefully.

If you would like to make an application on behalf of a child — or simply to ask whether the charity might be able to help — please see the Apply page or write to info@llanybydder.org.uk.

Safeguarding

Reminder: our safeguarding approach.

Posted: 2025.

The charity's beneficiaries are children, and the trustees therefore place safeguarding at the heart of how we operate. We do not hold direct contact with child beneficiaries; we work through guardians, schools, and other appropriate intermediaries. We do not publish any information that could identify a beneficiary. Any safeguarding concern that comes to our attention is referred, without delay, to the appropriate statutory authority.

Further detail can be found on the Trustees & governance page.

New notes will be added here from time to time. We do not circulate a newsletter, and we do not hold a mailing list. If there is a matter concerning the charity that you would like to raise, please write to the trustees.
